HUMAN HEALTH RESEARCH SCIENTIST

JOB DESCRIPTION
Plan, review and implement technical standards, guidelines, policies, and formal regulations that meet all appropriate requirements. Develop standard and consistent data entry formats to facilitate dataset use and interpretation by human health scientists. Support project management within specific areas of research and testing, data management and development of publications. Provide evaluations on data quality and utility. Assist in monitoring toxicological studies at contract laboratories. Support human health scientists in the development and implementation of novel toxicological methodologies. Organize and Manage peer-review publication efforts to include writing and editing papers for publication. Prepare, manipulate, and manage extensive databases. Review clinical safety testing protocols and provide input to the overall safety risk. Provide assistance with the preparation of project-related reports, manuscripts, and presentations. Conduct audits based on inspections or investigations of violations. Provide advice on proper standards and regulations or the development of policies, strategies, or codes of practice for environmental management. Obtain informed consent of research subjects or their guardians. Perform descriptive and multivariate statistical analysis of data, using computer software. Communicate scientific and technical information to the public, organizations, or internal audiences through oral briefings, written documents, workshops or conferences. Verify the accuracy and validity of data entered in databases, correcting any errors.​

REQUIREMENTS
Applicant must have a Master of Science Degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology plus one year of experience working as a Research Scientist. Must have at least one year of experience utilizing computational tools such as Toxtree and OECD toolbox. Must have one year of experience using computational modeling tools such as EPA AIM, ChemlDplus, QSAR toolbox. Must possess certification in GREEN SCREEN for Safer Chemicals. 40 hours per week, M-F, 8:30 am-5:00 pm. Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
