Advancing RIFM’s environmental science for Asian Pacific scientists

9.17.24

The Research Institute for Fragrance Materials’ Principal Scientist for Environmental Safety, Aurelia Lapczynski, will participate at the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) Asia-Pacific 14th Biennial Meeting from September 21 through 25, 2024, in Tianjin, China.

Lapczynski will present on “Data-driven decision-making using advanced high-throughput environmental risk assessment of fragrance materials” during the New Approach Methodology in Ecotoxicology and Risk Assessment – Theory and Applications sessions on Sunday, September 22nd from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM and on Monday, September 23rd from 8:30 AM to 12:00 noon China Standard Time.

“I’m very excited to share how RIFM conducts the environmental risk assessment of fragrance materials,” Lapczynski said. “This is an ideal environment for us to begin sharing some of RIFM’s new scientific approaches, including new alternative methodologies, or NAMs, as covered in our updated Environmental Framework, but especially the expansion of our Framework to additional regions – including the Asia-Pacific.” Related: Aurelia Lapczynski provides an overview of RIFM’s Environmental Framework
