Titled “Exploring RIFM’s Fragrance Material Safety Resource Center: History, Collaboration, and Navigating Peer-Reviewed Safety Assessments,” the webinar will feature RIFM President Anne Marie Api, PhD, Fellow ATS, with an introduction by Kamil Jurowski, PhD—RIFM Managing Editor and Elsevier journal editor (Food and Chemical Toxicology, Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology).
Launched in 2015, the Resource Center offers free, public access to peer-reviewed safety assessments and supporting research for approximately 2,300 fragrance-producing ingredients, with more added regularly. This live session will give participants an overview of RIFM’s safety evaluation process and demonstrate how to search for ingredients, download reports, and leverage the site for scientific, regulatory, and educational use.
“Transparency and accessibility are cornerstones of RIFM’s mission,” said Dr. Api. “This webinar is an opportunity for everyone—from fragrance professionals and regulators to educators and curious consumers—to learn how to engage with the science that underpins global fragrance safety standards. We’re proud to offer open access to our research, and we want to empower more people to use it confidently and effectively.”
