RIFM Principal Scientist Gretchen Ritacco, MS, talks animal-free science and photosafety with CosmeticsDesign

The Research Institute for Fragrance Materials (RIFM) has pioneered, refined, and substantiated animal-free fragrance safety science for over a decade. RIFM’s peer-reviewed safety assessments reflect and apply the latest data and objective test methodologies to every endpoint, including photosafety.

Gretchen Ritacco, MS, who leads RIFM’s photosafety research and safety assessment programs, recently met with CosmeticsDesign’s Cassandra Stern to share some of the recent work she and her team are completing and the significant impact it will have on ensuring everyone can enjoy their favorite fragranced products while continuing to avoid animal testing.
