RIFM Safety Assessment Program on Natural Complex Substances (view recording)

11.20.20

This webinar for RIFM Members will provide an introduction to how RIFM plans to conduct safety assessments on natural complex substances (NCS). The basic premise is the same as for discrete fragrance ingredients in that all of the same endpoints will be addressed. RIFM will follow a similar four-step process with testing only as a last resort: step 1) evaluate the data on the NCS, 2) can TTC be applied, 3) can NCS be cleared on a component basis, 4) data may need to be generated.
