The RIFM Database: Past, Present, and Future

3.4.26

In honor of the Research Institute for Fragrance Materials’ 60th Anniversary, we invite you to a global webinar exploring the industry’s most trusted safety resource. RIFM has led the way in fragrance science since its founding in 1966, and the RIFM Database has served as the essential digital repository for this work since the 1980s.

This session offers a technical look at how decades of peer-reviewed research have been synthesized into a high-performance tool for today’s fragrance safety stakeholders.

Event Details

  • Date: Wednesday, March 18, 2026
  • Time: 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM (EDT)
  • Registration: Register Here

What the Session Will Cover

  • Evolution of the Benchmark: A look at how RIFM’s 60-year scientific legacy was digitized in the 1980s and has since grown into a sophisticated global safety standard.
  • Technical Walkthrough: A guided tour through specific areas and features of the database.
  • The Subscriber Advantage: An overview of high-level tools available to RIFM Members and Subscribers, including the MAC Values Dashboard and Biodegradation Data—curated resources designed to streamline evidence-based safety assessments.
  • Now Live: Chemical Signature Grouping: A sneak-peek at our recently implemented Chemical Signature Grouping functionality to enhance and accelerate assessment understanding, prioritization, and read-across.

Why Attend?

This session is designed for scientists, regulators, and industry professionals who prioritize precision in their safety documentation. For those interested in the full breadth of RIFM’s proprietary resources, we will discuss how Membership and Subscription provide direct access to the live tools and data that define the current scientific foundation of fragrance safety.

Open to fragrance safety stakeholders worldwide.
